Simple Laundry Booster

Filth. Dirt. Sweat.

Eww.

I love my hardworking husband.

But that man knows how to get dirty!

My homemade laundry soap  just wasn’t doing the job.

I tried soaking his work clothes first in homemade Oxy Clean. That worked well!

But…most days I don’t have the time to mix up a batch and let it soak.

What I did today worked even better!

Here’s how I washed his work clothes today.

To the washing machine I added:

  • 1 cup homemade laundry detergent
  • 1 cup Borax
  • 1 cup Washing Soda
  • 1 cup Hydrogen Peroxide

In the center fabric dispenser, I added as usual:

  • White Vinegar

I was going to stop the machine and let his work jeans soak a bit.

But then, I got sidetracked…surprise, surprise.

I was impressed how clean the jeans and whites/lights came out!

  • Interesting. I’ve used the detergent recipe but never with the peroxide as a booster. I’ll have to try that. Thanks for sharing this with us at the HomeAcre Hop. Hope to have you back again tomorrow.
